With the wind puffing out of the southeast there are mahi starting to show up on the reefs. I have reports of the larger blackfin tuna starting to show up in the 15-20lb range. May is almost here where we see the tuna reaching 35+ lbs. Fishing is heating up on the reef with very large king mackeral mixed in with wahoo, dolphin, and tunas. There is a pretty consistent sailfish bite in 130-185 ft of water just outside the south current. Live bait out of the kite has been the most effective method for targeting the sailfish. The troll has been tough to get these fish to bite lately. On the bottom the grouper bite is strong and out in the deep the Golden Tilefish bite has been impressive with fish over 20# being caught consistently on the ro...

The next few months are spectacular fishing in South Florida. Not only are the sailfish going to be pouring through but the dolphin and wahoo too. This is our favorite time for all of these awesome fish. There have already been several blue and white Marlin caught this week as well. In Ft. Lauderdale there was a white and a blue caught this past week. In Haulover there has been an amazing bottom bite with large groupers, golden tilefish, and large Mutton Snappers up to 20lbs. There has also been a great sailfish bite just beyond the reed in 120ft -180 ft of water. Please call soon as our books are starting to get full and reserve your trip. Stay tune for our next post.

With the snow starting to fall up North the fish are starting to show up. Already we are seeing Sailfish, large 10-30lb. Dolphin and Wahoo on the rips and around floating debris. The water is still calm while the fishing is going off! Snapper fishing has been great and deep dropping has been very productive off Haulover. Check back later this week for another report. Until then catch em' up!!!

Captain Darren Diaz

Since Monday there have been some awsome fish caught right here in Ft. Lauderdale 1 mile off the beach. Captain Greg and Captain Paul caught a 300 lb Blue Marlin on a 30. A few other guys caught some sailfish and we personally had about a 100 lb Swordfish jump through our spread of baits! What a great time of the year. Come on out and Join us for some great fun!

Today we had John and Jackie Noey out on the boat for a shark fishing trip. They caught 2 in less than 2 hours and had an exceptionally fun day. The first was this small Hammerhead Shark released and when we set up again a 13'4" Dusky bit and took us for a ride! (pictured below) John and Jackie battled this shark all the way in. Congratulations guys on a couple NICE FISH!!!
